This article will cover adding a subdomain as a hostname under a pre-existing domain in your hosting plan. This is useful if you use a lot of the same site content from the primary domain.
*NOTE: It is recommended that subdomains be added as full IIS domain entries, this makes them easier to manage and they wont require having a URL redirect setup.
1. While logged into myCloud v3, click on the Domain Management button on the main CloudSite management console.
2. Click Manage next to the domain you wish to add an alias or sub-domain to.
3. Enter the full hostname you wish to add and click Add a Hostname.
4. You will then see the hostname added below.
This subdomain is now setup as a hostname of the main domain. You can now setup a URL rewrite by following the guide below to set the subdomains content location.
